Mockingjay how does coin die

Of all the good things I've seen someone do. Every little thing I could remember. It's like a game. I do it over and over. Gets a little tedious after all these years. But there are much worse games to play. Whether this is a happy ending for Katniss and Peeta is up for interpretation and it does leave things open-ended for the couple in some ways. The couple found each other and some peace away from the politics of Panem, but they are both very much affected by the games. Katniss still has nightmares, but by the end of Hunger Games she is content with playing a much lower stakes game when the bad dreams haunt her then living in the world of pain that created them.

Many loose ends are tied at the end of Mockingjay Part 2 , but it also does leave some opportunities for more story to occur in the future. Josh Hutcherson has shown interest in returning for a sequel, even with an idea in mind and we hope we do see another chapter to the saga with the original cast someday.

For now, Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins published a prequel to her popular series earlier this year, The Ballad of Songbird and Snakes , which tells the story of President Snow as a teenager. And a movie is in the works with Francis Lawrence, who directed Catching Fire and both Mockingjay films on board to adapt the movie.

What did you think of how Mockingjay finished the series? The story takes place in a future where a totalitarian government rules over "Districts" in the country of Panem, and each year candidates are chosen to take part in a brutal, televised game of death. The franchise heroine is Katniss Everdeen, who takes the place of her younger sister and becomes a symbol after she wins - which eventually leads to rebellion.

Lawrence returned for all the sequels and Katniss became one of her defining roles. The weak box-office of the latter franchise's third entry Allegiant led to the planned final movie being abruptly cancelled, which marked the end of the YA boom.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 was also considered a mild financial disappointment, though it was still a success. At first Coin wanted to stop the hunger games but during the whole rebellion katniss sensed that coin was turning evil i think, and she knew that coin was now turning into the new snow.

And even if katniss voted no we should stop the hunger games i think that katniss thought the games would still go on. Coin wanted the people to believe it was the capital who did it to turn the rest of the resisters against their own.

The idea for a double bombing came from Gale. Snow to kill him and never could. She voted in favor of the Capital HG because she new it was the best chance to get close enough to take out either President. You can tell in the movie when Haymitch and Katniss look at each other that there is more going on in her mind then a vote. Its why Haymitch said Im with the Mockingjay. Theres nothing wrong with someone wanting to get there opinion or answer out on a subject, even if that subject was on a post a long time ago. He'd promised once that he'd never lie to Katniss, and despite his other crimes, Katniss believes that breaking that vow would go against his twisted moral code. He has his own interpretation of two linked aerial attacks, the second one of which killed Katniss's beloved sister Prim.

He tells Katniss that targeting children with double-exploding bombs which had been developed, Katniss knows very well, by Gale and Beetee would turn Snow's only supporters against him. He blames both his and Katniss's singlemindedness for the slip up. The guilt trip works wonders for President Snow, at least momentarily. With Coin angling to establish a society as bad or worse as the post-First Rebellion era, Katniss believes that she is the only person standing between the leader and the people of Panem.

Instead of shooting Snow through the heart with one of her arrows during his public execution, she turns at the last moment and assassinates Coin.
